Agile Phone Cards to be retired on 30 June 2007

Retirement of the Agile Phone Card Service

Effective from 30th April 2007, the Agile Phone Card service is no longer available for new customers.

The Agile Post-paid phone service will continue to operate for existing customers until midnight (central standard time) 30th June 2007.

History

In April 2001, Agile launched a voice service that cut the cost of phone callls for 18,000 rural South Australians in the Coorong. The service has since spread into other regional areas around South Australia as well as nationally to capital cities around Australia.

In April 2005 Internode (Agile's sister company) launched a new voice service called NodePhone, delivering smarter, cheaper and higher quality voice services across Australia.

Reason for retiring the service

The success of NodePhone and the wide-spread availability of broadband services from Internode nationally means it is now time for NodePhone to take over from the Agile Phone Card system.

Agile Phone Card Customers are encouraged to visit the NodePhone website for more information on how to get started using NodePhone.

When the service will be retired

The Agile Phone Card service will continue to operate until midnight, 30 June 2007, Australian Central Standard Time.

New Agile Phone Cards and re-charge facilities are no longer available.

Refund of your remaining card balance

Customers with a positive balance on their Phone Cards are entitled to a full refund.

Internode Customers

If you are an existing Internode customer with active services, you can have the balance of your Agile Phone Card transferred to your Internode account by placing your Agile Phone Card in an envelope along with your Internode username and/or client ID and post it to:

The remaining balance of your Agile Phone Card will be credited to your Internode account.

Non-Internode Customers

Card balances of $10 or more can be refunded by placing your phone card in an envelope along with your name, postal address & contact telephone number and post it to:

A cheque payable to your supplied name for the balance of the card will be posted to the address you provide.

Processing time for refunds

  • Cards will be accepted for credit or refund up to but not later than last mail on Tuesday 31 July 2007.
  • Please allow at least 30 days for postage and processing for all refunds.
